This is a dark and concentrated effort that floods the palate in silky richness and ripe black fruits, as balsam herbs add lift and fine tannins saturate deeply toward the close. Tart cherries and hints of cocoa and tobacco linger through the dramatically long yet also youthfully structured finale.
