Sopranos Upcoming Event The Eguren family co-founded Bodega Numanthia-Termes with Jorge Ordóñez in 1997, and Teso la Monja is their second major project in Toro since selling Numanthia-Termes to LVMH in 2008. Their goal with Teso la Monja, established in 2007, is to showcase a more refined expression of Tinta de Toro (the local clone of Tempranillo) and the Toro region as a whole. Romanico is whole-berry fermented in steel. It then undergoes MLF and eight months of aging in neutral French barrels. Deep ruby hued with licorice and torrefaction on the nose. Wild purple berry fruit is vibrant without overshadowing the sweet and savory herbal flavors for which Toro is known. Mouthfilling with marked, fresh acidity.
